The 2012 Honda Fit is an extremely fun car that I am proud to say that I own. I had been looking for a good commuter car for a few months when I decided to test drive a Fit based on a friend's recommendation. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't familiar with hybrids or Honda cars in general but I soon became at home in the Fit. While it may look cramped from the outside, it is very spacious for my 6'1" 180lb frame. Even without the big engine you might find on other cars I have no trouble getting up to speed on the highway and it handles the speed surprisingly well. Over time I have started to realize just how much I'm saving on gas. I used to drive a large Envoy and the Fit has been a welcome change at the pump. Having to actually fill the tank (keep in mind I drive to and from work for over an hour every day) has become a rare occasion, which is a blessing given current gas prices. The Fit is no sports car, however. There aren't any communities out there talking about it and you won't be going to any car shows. If you're looking for a special car of any sort, keep looking. The Fit stands out among commuter cars with its colorful array of factory paint options and unique design, but that's about it; I've found it to be otherwise bland.
