Pros
Cons
Minivans are the cars that everyone loves to hate; they're the ones that teenagers wouldn't be caught dead driving. They have a reputation as being unflashy, inefficient, and just all around dull. Not this minivan. The 2009 Honda Odyssey drives like a much smaller vehicle. The smooth handling is what I love most about it; if you closed your eyes (don't try this while driving!) you'd think you were in a sports car! This illusion is added to by the roomy interior and the cushy leather seats; comfort is at a very high level within this car. The interior is also very spacious. I have a large family (6 total), but when we go on extended trips I don't have to worry about the kids poking at each other or getting into fights because they're crammed together. I also appreciate the intuitive folding setup of the third row. Some minivans make it almost impossible to figure out how seats fold down and store away. Not the Odyssey; the back row of seats is easily folded away, and gives you a surprising amount of cargo space to boot. The gas mileage on this vehicle is pretty standard for this type; I get around 20 mpg. For some cars, the EPA estimate can be very misleading, but I would say that it's pretty accurate in this case. The one criticism that I have about this vehicle is that it can be a little pricey, but in my mind it's worth the extra cost.
