The 2011 Honda Ridgeline
is a compact truck with just one bed and power train, designed to fit a niche market. Powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 engine attached to a five-speed automatic transmission, the four-wheel drive Ridgeline exhibits unique styling, car-like handling, and versatile storage.
With three trims -- RT Crew Cab Pickup, RTS Crew Cab Pickup, RTL Crew Cab Pickup -- the Ridgeline has seen its days of glory. Not enough standard features and not good enough 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway fuel economy can save it now.
New for 2011
With no major upgrades for the Ridgeline again for 2011, it may soon be history.
Engine: 3.5L V-6
Transmission: 5-speed automatic
Body Style: Truck
Trims: RT Crew Cab Pickup, RTS Crew Cab Pickup, RTL Crew Cab Pickup
On the Outside
The Honda Ridgeline has a unique style of its own, characterized by unibody construction, a short bed with sloping walls, drop down/swing out tailgate, lockable in-bed trunk, and power folding mirrors.
From the Inside
Inside the Ridgline's roomy interior are standard Honda features, including instrumentation with a decidedly rugged twist, a column shifter, and a navigation system that is only available with RTL trims.
Equipped with 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine linked to a 5-speed automatic transmission powering all four wheels via Honda's Variable Torque Management (VTM) system, the Ridgeline drives like a car, due to its unibody construction and independent suspension. Hauling is definitely its shortfall, with maximum payload and towing capacities of 1100 pounds and 5000 pounds, respectively.
Standard safety equipment on the Ridgeline are three point seat belts, traction/stability control, outboard passenger side curtain airbags, and driver and front passenger dual stage front and front side airbags.
