The Hummer H1 was the first of three versions of the vehicle; this vehicle was loved because of its impressive off roading capacity. The creation of the H2 soon followed and it retained the same appearance and feel as the H1, but its base configuration was based upon a truck platform by GM. The H1 stemmed from military application vehicles; it was mammoth and difficult to keep between the lines on the road. Its lowest price started at $100,000.00 so it appealed to the wealthy only.
The H2 has proven to be attractive, handsome, aggressive and powerful. The vehicle delivers exceptional power, it has a decent ground clearance and the front/rear overhangs on the vehicle are short. This vehicle was sold with a 6.2 Liter V-8 engine married to a 6-speed auto transmission, but it will no longer be offered due to rising fuel costs, the bankruptcy filing of GM, and the absence of a suitable buyer may result in the end of the Hummer very soon. Those seeking a Hummer may find this an ideal time to buy one. Next Page »
