  • Lacks Power

Finally, got a good deal on Elantra, the best looking car for years, both exterior & interior. My light colored interior, accentuated with pale sheepskin seat covers is spectacular. Elantra has the greatest rear seat shoulder room of any gas car getting near 40mpg, or under 2800 pounds or less than 70 inches wide. Hyundai takes care of passengers! You can see the effect of the beautiful lines of Elantra on the designs of other brand cars, who are saying, "me too"...... but still aren't, "me too". First trip with Elantra, 3 people, hours of cool down, still collected 43mpg! Four tanks have averaged 37.6mpg. However, anyone who is a leadfoot, wants to travel fast or in the mountains, or stuck in traffic or the city, will say good bye to mpg. But good mpg is there for those who want it, by featherfooting. Noise in Elantra could be better. Selection of quiet tires is important.
