Reviewed by Automotive on

Vehicle Overview

The 2013 Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan delivers the same amount of luxury as its competitors, but keeps the price relatively low for what you get. This rear-wheel drive luxury sedan is offered with either a 3.8-liter V-6 engine or a 5.0-liter V-8.

The 2013 Hyundai Genesis has earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick, giving owners some peace of mind when travelling with passengers of all ages. Standard features include automatic headlights, LED running lights, foglamps, heated mirrors, full power accessories, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, heated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, seven-speaker audio system, and satellite radio. An optional Premium package adds a sunroof, power-folding outside mirrors, leather dash and door trim, power rear sunshade, navigation, 7-inch touchscreen display, rearview camera, and Lexicon 14-speaker surround-sound audio system. The available Technology package includes xenon headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, premium leather upholstery, heated rear seats, hill-hold assist, advanced navigation with larger display, as well as Hyundai's BlueLink. The 5.0 model includes everything previously listed, as well as a V-8 engine, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, a sport-tuned suspension and steering, and R-Spec badging.

New for 2013

The 2013 Hyundai Genesis drops the 4.6-liter V-8 engine and base model. A larger infotainment display is now available and provides enhanced capabilities. The Genesis also receives new exterior styling with LED lights, and three gears have been added to the automatic transmission.
