Overview

There isn’t much to say about the 2004 Infiniti G35 that isn’t good. Offered in sedan and coupe body styles, these cars are well made with a powerful, effective powertrain. Infiniti made sure to offer a long list of standard features making this car well equipped as well. In test drives, the G35 offers impressive handling and doesn’t have any problems in the speed department either. Overall, it is a good choice for anyone looking for an attractive, affordable, well-performing sedan or coupe.

The Range

Body Styles: sedan, coupe
Engines: 3.5-liter V-6
Transmissions: five-speed automatic, six-speed manual
Models: Infiniti G35

What's New

There are some changes for the 2004 Infiniti G35. On the six-speed transmission models only, a new four-way adjustable power seat is added on the passenger side. These models also feature a new limited slip deferential. The G35 leather upholstered sedan is given heated outside mirrors as well as heated front seats. This model year also introduces the all-wheel-drive option on the sedan model. Infiniti adds a tire pressure monitoring system and low emissions status for the lineup. On the leather clad coupe edition, extra cup holders, and a newly-designed center console are introduced in 2004.

Exterior

The 2004 Infiniti G35 offers an impressive and attractive exterior. In either the sedan or coupe style, this car looks assertive and makes quite an impression. The front end and grille slope gently up to the windshield and roof in a fluid line with square like headlights. The grille of the G35 is unassuming and blends well with the front end of the body design. The sides of the sedan and coupe style are simple with clean lines and very few curves. The G35 was offered in a variety of colors for the exterior including Twilight Blue, Brilliant Silver, and Garnet Fire, just to name a few.

Interior

The 2004 Infiniti G35’s cabin was designed with usability and comfort in mind. The front seats are bucket style and upholstered with comfortable, breathable cloth. The driver’s seat is equipped with an adjustable lumbar support system. The front seats provide plenty of head and leg room as well. In the back seat, passengers are comfortable with their own ventilation ducts and center armrest. The rear seats are foldable as well. The G35 features power accessories too, including power and heated mirrors, door locks, and windows. Infiniti didn’t forget about convenience in the cabin design either. Cruise control is standard as well as a first aid kit, center console with storage, and front and rear door pockets. Alloy and leather make appearances throughout the car. Alloy trim is found on the center console, dash, and doors. Alloy and leather can be seen on the shift knob, while leather alone accents the steering wheel.

Performance & Handling

There are plenty of good things to say about the 2004 Infiniti G35 in terms of performance and handling. This car is equipped with plenty of power thanks to its 3.5-liter, V-6 engine. This motor is capable of 260 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a five-speed automatic standard or a six-speed manual optional transmission, the G35 provides plenty of power and is a dream to handle as well. Drivers find the car is more than capable of keeping up with highway traffic making merging and passing easy. In the city, the G35 takes corners and turns just fine with a smooth, comfortable ride.

Safety

A long list of safety features are another thing that makes the 2004 Infiniti G35 worth taking a look at. This car offers four-wheel anti-lock brakes, front and rear head airbags, as well as dual front side mounted airbags standard. The new tire pressure monitoring system is standard, too. Traction and stability control are part of the sedan and coupe safety features. Both the driver and passenger seats are equipped with head restraints intended to reduce whiplash in the case of an accident. Child seat anchors and rear seat child safety locks round out the list of useful safety features.
