1995 Infiniti J30 Review

All the standard luxury features in a classy package.

Reviewed by Automotive on

The 1995 Infiniti J30 is a reliable and well-priced luxury sedan. Loaded with features, the J30 comes in a single trim and offers very little in the way of options. The J30 is a fun ride with plenty of power under the hood, but lacking in interior space for the back seat and the trunk. Standard safety features and positive safety ratings make the J30 a good choice.

What's New

The 1995 Infiniti J30 makes a few small changes to the interior and exterior. Exterior changes include redesigned headlines for improved styling and longevity. On the inside, the driver's seat is updated to include power lumbar support to reduce strain during the ride. The rearview mirror is replaced with a rearview mirror specially designed to reduce the amount of glare that comes from the sun and other lights.

The 1995 Infiniti J30 comes in a total of 14 color options, which include Super Black, Starfire Blue Pearl Metallic, and Ruby Pearl Metallic. The wheelbase measures 108.7 inches and total length is 191.3 inches. It comes standard with 15-inch alloy wheels. Alloy wheels can be upgraded to more stylish forged alloy wheels. Other exterior features include tinted glass, power antenna, and a keyless entry system. A rear spoiler is an available option.

The 1995 Infiniti J30 comes standard with luxury items, such as air-conditioning, automatic climate control, and a lighted entry system. The seating is all leather with bucket seats in the front and a bench in the rear. The front seats are powered and include heating. The steering wheel and shift knob also feature leather trim, making the interior extremely stylish throughout. Windows and doors are powered as well. BOSE audio is married with an AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo system for superb sound quality. The rear-view mirror now automatically dims to help reduce glare, which is a new feature. Unfortunately, rear legroom is lacking at just 30.5 inches, and the trunk is also small.

Performance & Handling

The 1995 Infiniti J30 comes equipped with a 210-hp, 3.0-liter, V-6 engine that produces 193 lb-ft of torque. The engine is coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission, and unfortunately, there is no option for a manual transmission. Power steering and brakes make it easy to maneuver. A limited slip differential and cruise control are also standard. Options include a touring suspension package for smoother rides. The engine runs best on premium-unleaded fuels.

The 1995 Infiniti J30 comes standard with driver and passenger side airbags. Also standard is an anti-theft alarm system to helps deter would-be thieves. Four-wheel anti-lock brakes give the Infiniti incredibly powerful stopping abilities, even in inclement weather. During crash testing conducted by the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it was rated four out of five stars for driver's safety in the event of a frontal collision, and passenger's safety received four out of five stars.
