The Isuzu I-290 is a midsize pick-up truck manufactured by Isuzu Motors, Japan. The I-290 belongs to the I-series lineup of pick-up trucks that were introduced in 2005 at the New York International Auto Show. The I-280 became the I-290 in 2007, and the company has continued with the same name in 2008. The line-up was introduced to fill in the gap that was formed after discontinuation of Isuzu Hombre, a pick-up truck manufactured by Isuzu Motors until 2000. The Isuzu I-290 shares platform with midsize pick-ups manufactured by General Motors.
