As a proud owner of previous Jaguar models, I was excited to test drive the new XK series, including the 2009 (now at 2012). Comparatively heavier than previous models, but the difference is made up for in increased horsepower and ventrical-offset parametrics, the handling has never been better. Although moderately reviewed on Top Gear, this baby definitely redefines urban edge driving while not being too excessive.
With a variety of standard options, the base unit far exceeds every previous model in luxury, while remaining distinctively classic in heritage. The hood has some new equipment under the hood as well, which accounts for a 23hp difference from previous models. I prefer cars that don't fishtail and "boat" out of control at high speed interval changes, and with the extended body having the outward appearance of a boat, this still handles like an F-1. Acceleration isn't exactly consistent, but that could be due to variable air intakes.
On the interior, it's very spatious yet the back seat isn't really meant to be a seat, but who buys these cars for a family anyways? Navigation on the touch screen could be more sophisticated and ease of use.... still lags a bit between menus and you have to cycle through several menus to quickly access the music controls. Don't forget to try coastal roads, as the sound of the engine at 90-130 is purely harmonic. With a fairly impressive upgrade from the previous model, this new XK will surely leave you impressed after every drive and wanting to return.
Offered in Cabriolet hard top and coupe versions.

The v8 engine that sits under the hood only makes the Jaguar XKR that much better. Even though it is technically not a sports car it comes pretty close. The 6-speed transmission combined with the 300 horse power makes the price tag of $41,000 worth every penny. A beautiful automobile with great gas mileage this vehicle will never disappoint you. The sleek design and the comfort that is felt when you sit on those leather seats is nothing less than what is expected of a Jaguar. The company has always been considered to be one of the most luxurious cars and this model shows the world why that is. The 2009 comes equipped with everything you need and comes highly recommended by all those dedicated Jaguar lovers. There is almost nothing wrong with this car except maybe a few small things. The car is only a two door and because of that it has no back seat but the company still felt the need to place one there anyways. The result is less room for the two people who will be traveling in the front. However that was the only fault I found that the 2009 model had. Everything else is far and beyond, it received five stars in safety and reliability was off the charts. This car is everything a person could as for. The look ,feel, power, and comfort that is provided to each buyer will keep them happy for years.
