2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review

Popular SUV with great on- and off-road capability

Reviewed by Automotive on

In a Nutshell
The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a sport utility vehicle (SUV) with three available trim levels: Laredo Sport Utility, Limited Sport Utility, SRT8 Sport Utility. While the Laredo and Limited trims come with a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine or optionally a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, the high-performance SRT8 trim has a 6.1-liter V8 engine. A five-speed automatic is the only available transmission. A properly equipped Grand Cherokee has a tow capacity of 7,400 pounds.

Sporting smooth lines and mild curves, the Jeep Grand Cherokee retains Jeep's brawny look, but its interior is attractive, comfortable, user friendly, and well designed with quality material. With superior handling and driving manners, the Grand Cherokee is a nice ride on or off the highway. Safety ratings on the Grand Cherokee are adequate, and so is its fuel economy at 15 mpg city / 20 mpg highway.
