I have owned Jeep's since I first began driving, and have always been both impressed and pleased with this rugged and tough vehicle. Don't be fooled for one minute that just because this one is a bit on the smaller side, compared to other SUVs, that it may not perform as well. In fact, this is a performing Jeep from start to finish. I love the sport model with the rear folding seatback and a beefed-up stereo system. The powerful engine may be only four-cylinders, but it still is able to provide adequate power, even going up hill. What I really like about my Patriot is that it gets surprisingly great gas economy. What a great combination, good power delivery and excellent gas mileage. The five-speed manual transmission is fun to drive and offers more control over all than an automatic transmission. I routinely take itroad and it performs quite well every time. This is a really great SUV offering safety features that make me feel comfortable such as anti-lock brakes, front head restraints and side airbags. The interior is quite comfortable and features the Jeep signature large gauges. The removable and very easy-to-clean cargo floor is a great item to have when you are doing a lot a hauling. Falling in love was indeed very easy.
