The Kia Forte Koup blends impressive style and comfort, technology, performance, and safety features to create an attractive, comprehensive package for buyers. Its fluid lines and balanced proportions offer a refined and athletic stance. With a low, sleek profile, it offers wraparound headlights and aggressive air intakes in the front. The rear of the Koup features slim, wrapped taillights, a rear diffuser, and dual exhaust tips. The 2011 Kia Forte Koup is 2.4 inches lower and two inches shorter than the Forte sedan.

Standard equipment for the base EX includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a blacked-out grille and air dam, variable intermittent wipers, a rear defogger, remote power door locks, power windows, and power heated mirrors. Optional equipment includes wheel locks and a sunroof.

Standard equipment on the SX includes a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and wider tires.

Standard equipment for the base EX includes cruise control, a front console with storage, power steering, a tilt steering wheel with audio and cruise control functions, air-conditioning, a tachometer, a trip computer, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a split-folding rear seatback, and an AM/FM/CD/MP3/Satellite/USB audio system with six speakers.

Optional equipment includes heated front seats, leather upholstery, a cargo net, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass, and a Homelink universal remote transmitter. An optional Sport package includes larger brakes and a sport-tuned suspension.

The Economy package adds electric power steering, aerodynamic enhancements, and low-rolling-resistance tires.

The Kia Forte Koup SX offers ample legroom and hip room for a compact car. Cargo space is 12.6 cubic feet, and the seats can be folded down to further increase cargo space.

Standard equipment on the SX includes a tilt/telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise control functions, fog lights, a trip computer, cloth upholstery, and metallic interior trim.

Optional equipment on the SX includes a sunroof, heated leather seats, keyless entry, a navigation system, automatic climate control, and chrome door handles.

The Technology package includes navigation, fully automatic temperature control, and push-button start. The Leather package features leather seat trim, heated front seats, and a self-dimming rearview mirror.

Performance & Handling

Equipped with a 2.0-liter, 156-hp, four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the Forte Koup offers a wide array of standard equipment for a compact car. The 2011 Kia Forte Koup was awarded the US EPA SmartWay Certification Mark, which means it received an above-average score for air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition to the base EX, Kia offers an upgraded SX model. It comes equipped with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

The body’s torsional stiffness improves handling and ensures a smoother ride quality. A MacPherson strut front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension improve handling and stability. With less than a 34-foot turning circle, the Kia Forte Koup can get you out of the tightest spots with ease.

Four-wheel ABS comes standard on the 2011 Kia Forte Koup EX. Other safety features include front and rear head airbags, dual front side-mounted curtain airbags, emergency brake assist, ventilated front disc and solid rear drum brakes, turn signal mirrors, stability control, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, and tire pressure monitoring.
