Pros
Cons
The Kia Rio is a great zippy little car. I was looking for a compact vehicle that had some excellent gas mileage, nice standard features and enough room to be comfortable on a long road trip. The Rio does not disappoint. I was impressed with the gas mileage and low starting price. I am the first to admit, I do not like to spend a lot of money on a car knowing how quickly the value depreciates. I can travel from Georgia to Massachusetts on 2.5 tanks of gas which is great for me. It is roomier than I expected a small car to be with enough leg room for both my father and I whom both have longer legs. The trunk is enormous and deceptively small looking from the outside. With the ability to put the rear seat down and allow access, you can easily fit a chest of drawers in there. The only downside I have to report is the fuse system. It seems like the fuses that control the air conditioner and the blower for that unit tend to kick in and out. It will be pumping AC at full blast then inexplicably stop for a few seconds before kicking back on again. Looking at research online it is not an uncommon problem. Given that though, it is merely annoying and not a deal killer. I would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a small, reliable, good gas mileage car.
