We purchased our Kia Sedona in early 2010 and got a great deal. With a growing family (2 parents, 1 young child, 1 on the way, and a family dog), we really needed a vehicle that could accommodate our lifestyle. We ended up choosing the LX model and have not been disappointed. It rides quite comfortably, and the V6 engine is powerful but quiet. I feel at ease driving my family around knowing that it has a good safety rating. This has pretty much become our main source of transportation. We use it for daily activities as well as for family road trips. The interior space really comes in handy. It has 2 back bucket style seats that fit either a person or a child's car seat quite comfortably. There is plenty of luggage/storage space behind the back seats. However, whenever we need to accommodate additional passengers we have to forfeit some of the room in the storage space so that the extra (2) bucket style seats can be returned to the upright position. So far this has worked though. Greatest thing about the extra convertible seating is it can be completely removed (if it is not needed) which allows us to make even more room for storing large items (this really came in handy when we moved). One handy little surprise this car offers is the interior rear view mirror that allows you to check up on your kids (or other passengers) without feeling the need to turn around and compromise safety. Also important is the adjustable back support on the driver side seat. The only major down side so far is the miles per gallon but everything has a trade off. I wouldn't trade in our Sedona for any other car at his point.
