2013 Lamborghini Aventador Review
Reviewed by Automotive on
Vehicle OverviewThe Lamborghini Aventador was introduced back in 2011 as a replacement for the Murcielago. Taking the decade-old Lambo's spot also came with the responsibility of carrying the touch for one of the most iconic supercar brands on this planet. This supercar sports two doors, no roof (that is, if you opt for the Aventador Roadster), and one exhilarating ride. The 2013 Lamborghini Avantador comes in your choice of a coupe, or convertible (aptly known as the Roadster) and each rely on a monstrous 6.5-liter V-12 engine, rated at 690 horsepower and enough torque to knock the earth of its axis (510 pound-feet). We know the Aventador is fast and has a wicked engine note, but if you get on the brakes too hard and often, stopping power falls by the wayside.
However, if you don't plan on taking your Aventador to the track, then brake fade won't be a concern. The likelihood of you driving the Aventador to its full potential is slim to none, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. One con to the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador is that the transmission shifts in such a violent fashion that people have compared it to being hit in the back of the head with a shovel. Sounds lovely, no? It's safe to assume that those who pick up an Aventador are more concerned with outward appearances anyways. The 2013 Lamborghini Aventador will suffice as it attracts eyes wherever you go. Plus, it's hard to ignore the engine note that escapes from the Aventador's V-12 engine.
New for 2013After receiving such a warm welcome when Lamborghini debuted the Aventador J concept at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, the Italian automaker thought it would be a good idea to put a roadster variant of its new flagship vehicle into production. No argument here.
