Compared to all of the exotic Lamborghinis from previous years, the 2007 Gallardo actually seems quite tame and affordable. The Spyder convertible joins the lineup for the year, adding a refreshing sun-and-fun feeling to the lineup. Integrity, composure, and confidence are all elements of the baby Lambo, making it one of the favorites in 2007. It is definitely in a class of its own and is quite hard to describe without using the words fabulous and wildly exciting. The down-to-earth feeling of the expensive Gallardo leaves shoppers a bit confused, since the previous Lamborghinis have been so outrageously cumbersome to drive, not to mention the price tags on the Murcielago and Diablo. However, it has an overall package that some owners cherish more than these outrageously expensive and over-the-top vehicles. If you are looking for a sporty, exciting driving experience, it is absolutely worth it to take a test drive.
Body Styles: coupe, convertible

The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo gets a new addition to the family, the Spyder convertible, which made its initial appearance in the 2007 model year.
The high-performance Gallardo is a two-seat exotic sports car that comes as a convertible, called the Spyder, and a coupe base body style. The exterior is already considered magnificent, even without the standard features of 19-inch alloy wheels, extending automatic rear spoiler, and high-performance tires. Some people say that the exterior is reminiscent of something from the movies or a sci-fi flick because of the smooth lines and uniquely-designed body. The bi-xenon headlights also come standard to enhance the outer appearance. The Spyder features a fully powered soft top, along with an integrated tonneau cover. There are a few available options, like the suspension lift system to protect the front spoiler, and the rearview camera. Additionally, specialty trims and colors can be chosen to further spruce up the Gallardo.
There is an ambiance inside the Gallardo that is not found in many other coupes or convertibles on the market, and the Audi influence can be felt immediately. The high-quality leather that surrounds the cabin and the soft-touch materials that are placed throughout, combine for a very luxurious feel. The interior isn’t quite as showy as the exterior, but it is still impressive enough to sport such a price tag.
Standard interior features include automatic dual-zone climate control, a four-speaker stereo system, two auxiliary jacks, a six-CD changer, and an awesome multimedia control interface like the MMI system that Audi uses. The Spyder convertible comes with the same standard features, and options include a navigation system, a television that is displayed on the LCD in-dash screen, heated mirrors, a garage-door opener, and a trip computer. The space is small, as expected with the coupe and convertible, but the amenities and clout are very large.
Performance & Handling
The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo features an excellent 5.0-liter V-10 that gives 512 horsepower (hp) with 376 lb-ft of torque. Each model has the all-wheel-drive system in place, and comes with a standard manual six-speed transmission that has a gated metal shifter. The automatic six-speed transmission is available as an option. Acceleration in this baby takes only four seconds to reach a speed of 60 mph from a standstill. The V-10 can produce the best sound at full throttle, which is typical for Lamborghini automobiles. Handling is great and curves are easy to confront in this sports car. While passengers may worry about losing their hats while driving with the top down in the Spyder, they will still be quite comfortable in the smooth ride. With the sporty V-10, combined with the all-wheel drive, this may be one of Lamborghini’s finest vehicles to date.
Standard features for the 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo include stability control, anti-lock brakes, and side airbags. Optional features are a rearview camera and a rear spoiler that kicks in at 75 mph, giving added down force. The braking system is very accurate as well.
