The
2011 Lexus LX 570 is a full-size luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) that seats eight passengers and is up for off-road excursions as well as everyday driving. Equipped with a 5.7-liter V-8 engine with 383 horsepower coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, the LX 570 has solid towing capabilities and can tow up to 8500 pounds.
The LX 570 SUV has plenty of gadgets too, including a Mark Levinson-19 speaker audio system, park assist, and a rear seat entertainment system. Like other Lexus models, the 2011 LX 570 is equipped with a full array of safety systems. Its biggest drawback is its fuel economy of 12 mpg city/18 mpg highway, which is primarily because of its size and weight.
New for 2011
For 2011, the Lexus LX 570 saw some minor changes, such as a new black interior with leather trim. An optional heated steering wheel has been added to the Luxury Package, which includes a semi-aniline leather interior, Bubinga wood trim, and cold storage for drinks. In addition, the LX was upgraded with a brake override system. Other than that, the color Costa Azul has been discontinued.

On the Outside
The new LX 570 looks like the model it replaced, except cleaner and smoother, and a lot like the Land Cruiser after which it's modeled. Standard on the LX 570 are 20-inch wheels, and the wheels in the Luxury Package have a Liquid Graphite finish.
From the Inside
Inside the three-row cabin, the Lexus LX 570 offers a variety of leather/wood interiors, a 14-way driver seat, a 12-way front passenger seat, and a 19-speaker surround sound system. The third row can be power folded out of the way and the second row has power slide.
Driving Performance
The Lexus LX 570 moves quite a bit faster than you'd think a 6164-pound sport utility vehicle would, taking 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and braking from 60 mph in 133 feet. Its 5.7-liter V-8 has 115 more horsepower than the previous engine. While handling is not the LX 570's strong point, the SUV certainly can take turns with relative ease.
