Entering the market in the year 2009 as the model for 2010 is the Lincoln MKT. The car entered the automotive market nearly a year before the launch of the Ford Flex. Both vehicles have similar features, but the chief difference between the MKT and the Flex is the exterior sheetmetal used in the design of the MKT.
The Lincoln MKT is the largest car offered by the carmaker. The MKT is ideal for long distance jaunts and highway driving. The larger size has a downside though; when on the streets of a city the vehicle is difficult to drive and park. This car has a nice rear end design but headroom is diminished. While it hosts a third row, cargo space is also decreased.
The Lincoln MKT sports two motors, one of which is the 3.5 Liter, twin turbocharged V-6 married to a six-speed auto tranny. Inside the spacious cabin, one will find advanced technologies and niceties. The price tag is a bit elevated for some, which may prove uncomfortable, and with the add-on of options, it increases fast.

What's New
All-new for 2010, the Lincoln MKT is one of the first vehicles outfitted with Ford's much-hyped 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 and the MKT serves as a showcase vehicle for the newest in Lincoln high-tech, luxury and entertainment features.
Exterior
The MKT is a uniquely-styled crossover that some detractors say is hearse-like in appearance. The large, Lincoln signature grille gives it considerable presence on the road, although the MKT's swoopy rear design compromises overall cabin space and splits opinions.
Interior
The interior of the MKT is luxuriously appointed and feature rich. The optional Vista Roof makes for a great view at night. Entertainment options include a 14-speaker, 600-watt premium audio system and rear-seat DVD player with headrest-mounted screens.
Performance & Handling
The base engine in the MKT is a 3.7-liter V-6 rated at 270 horsepower and 270 pound-feet, which is adequate for moving around this roughly 5000-pound crossover. The optional 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 makes 350 horsepower and 355 pound-feet of torque makes acceleration effortless. Handling is not confidence inspiring, however, especially in top-heavy models equipped with the glass Vista Roof.
Safety
The 2010 Lincoln MKT comes standard with six airbags including two side canopy airbags that run the length of the cabin. Adaptive cruise control system with collision-warning and brake support features is optional.
EPA Fuel Economy
