Performance & Handling

Safety

The MKT EcoBoost also includes Active Park Assist, which allows you to view the area behind your rear bumper and alerts you when a stationary item is close to the rear of your vehicle.

Radar sensors used in Adaptive Cruise Control monitor the speed of the vehicle in front of you. If the system senses traffic slowing, your vehicle’s speed adjusts to maintain a safe distance. When it senses that the road ahead clears, the preset cruise control speed resumes.

When the system senses a potential collision between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you, the Collision Avoidance system activates. A visual alert appears on the windshield, and an audible alert is issued; the brakes pre-charge to decrease stopping distance even before you apply pressure to the brake pedal.
