2005 Mazda B-2300 Review

A simple truck with an average amount of exterior and interior features, good fuel economy, and fair power and handling.

Reviewed by Automotive on

The 2005 Mazda B-2300 truck is a simple line of vehicles. This year, the B-2300 gets no new features. The exterior features range from some visual elements such as black bumpers and a black grille, to functional elements such as clear-lens halogen headlights and intermittent windshield wipers. Optional packages add some nice-looking features, as do the dealer-installed options. For the interior features, there are a number of storage elements and a few visual elements. The Mazda B-2300 is stocked full of warning lights and gauges. The audio system could be improved, as it only has an AM/FM stereo with a package upgrade required to add the CD player. This is below average on the standards of other trucks on the market this year. Performance and handling are fair with an average horsepower rating. Safety is average with a few nice safety features. Fuel economy is fairly good for this class of truck. Drivers cannot go wrong with simplicity.
