With the 2001 Mazda B-3000, consumers can choose the SE Regular Cab or SE Cab Plus in either 4x2 or 4x4, the SE Cab Plus 4, or the Dual Sport Regular Cab or Cab Plus. What's New

The 2001 Mazda B-3000 has a new style and has a more powerful engine than earlier models. The Dual Sport 4x2 raised suspension is a new and much-appreciated improvement for this truck. Consumers will also find a new interior with a revamped instrument panel.


The 2001 Mazda B-3000 features fender flares, a notched hood, and multi-beam reflector lamps. There’s plenty of chrome highlighting a smooth sheet metal exterior with a wide grille in front. There’s plenty of room for cargo with a six-foot bed and an easily detachable tailgate. For extra-long cargo, there’s a fold out U-shaped cargo bed extender. The Dual Sport features body-colored bumpers and flared fenders. Exterior colors for the 2001 Mazda B-3000 include Jewel Green clear coat Metallic, Desert Sand clear coat Metallic, Classic White clear coat, Mystic Black clear coat, Medium Melina Blue clear coat Metallic, and several others.


Inside, the 2001 Mazda B-3000 regular cab seats three with a front split-bench arrangement, four-way adjustable seats and a front center armrest. The interior comes in Tan or Medium Graphite. Consumers will find comfortable cloth covered seats, an optional leather steering wheel, AM/FM stereo with in dash CD player and four speakers, and clear and easy-to-use gauges and climate control.

Performance & Handling

The 2001 Mazda B-3000 showcases a three-liter V-6 engine with a five-speed manual transmission or five-speed automatic transmission, both with overdrive, generating 150 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Front coil springs and gas pressurized rear shocks are standard with speed sensitive hydraulic power-assist rack and pinion steering and rigid axle rear leaf suspension. The Dual Sport suspension helps handle rougher terrain with ease.


The 2001 Mazda B-3000 safety features include four-wheel ABS, front ventilated disc and rear drum brakes, front impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, side impact bars, fixed front head restraints and optional panic alarm.
