The exterior of the 2009 Mazda MAZDA6 is larger, with an additional 6.9 inches in length and 2.3 inches in width. It has attractive 16-inch steel wheels fitted with P205-65R H all-season tires. It stands well, with a ground clearance of 5.1 inches and a width of 72.4 inches, a height of 57.9 inches, which all stand on a wheel base of 109.8 inches. Mazda also increases the size of the trunk, with now a total cargo space of 16.6 cubic feet.

The 2009 Mazda MAZDA6 comes with either a 2.5-liter base engine emitting 170 hp rpm horsepower and 167 ft-lb of torque, or a 3.7-liter V6. It has a six-speed, manual transmission, front-wheel drive engine with four wheel independent suspension, double wishbone front suspension, and a front and rear stabilizer bar; all systems to ensure you have a safe and smooth ride. A five-speed automatic transmission is optional on all but the i SV model.
The 2009 Mazda MAZDA6 safety equipment includes modern systems that ensure the protection of the passenger while in regular motion and in the event of a collision. This year’s model also comes fitted with an emergency trunk release from the interior which means the vehicle occupants can use the trunk as an emergency exit in the event of an impact.
