The 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is stunning from all angles. In front, consumers see its chrome grille with the Mercedes logo in the center, sided by uniquely-shaped dual headlights. Below is the body-colored bumper with programmable daytime running lights. A side view captures a sharp body design that is complemented by beautiful 17-inch wheels. Its rear end features another Mercedes logo on the body above the license plate, a large body-colored fender, and a fog lamp. On top of the CL-Class is a power tilt/sliding tinted glass sunroof. The CL600 is packed with a twin-turbo 5.5-liter, V-12 engine, which generates 493 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The CL55 AMG gets a supercharged 5.5-liter, V-8 engine that pumps out 498 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The CL65 AMG is powered by a six-liter V-12 engine that produces 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. All models of the 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class have superb handling, thanks to its responsive suspension, which adjusts firmness on a continuous basis to help eliminate body roll during acceleration, braking, and cornering. The structure of the suspension is independent multi-link in the front and rear with coil springs and has interactive front and rear suspension leveling to provide a more stable ride.
The 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is equipped with anti-lock brakes on all four wheels. Front-impact airbags are installed to protect the driver and front seat passenger in the event of a frontal crash.
