My dad bought me a 2009 Mitsubishi Raider extended cab version for my twentieth birthday. I was very excited to say the least; especially since I had been driving a fifteen year old Grand prix for what seemed like forever. I thought it had a unique design as I was really impressed with what I saw. It had plenty of towing capacity and a spacious cabin, which was great for me and my kind of lifestyle. I love to go in the mountains and camp with my buddies, and I loved that I had the room to pack not only my equipment, but friends stuff as well. I was very impressed with the way that this vehicle handled on the open road, it ran very smooth and made for a very comfortable ride overall. My dad and I actually went on a few long trips and enjoyed every second of it in this efficient ride. However, after time went by, I did start to notice a few drawbacks of this vehicle. It had a hard time climbing hills for some reason, as the V6 engine seemed to struggle climbing some hills that my ancient Grand Prix would climb with no problem. I found this to be troubling and very disappointing. It also lacks a number of safety features that you would think would have been included, such as side curtain airbags or four wheel anti-lock brakes.
