Acura RDX Information
An entry level luxury crossover sport utility vehicle, the Acura RDX is manufactured by Honda. The Acura RXD was first made available on August 11, 2006 for the 2007 model. The vehicle is manufactured at the Honda assembly plant in Marysville, Ohio and has become quite popular. The RDX competes with vehicles such as the BMW X3, the Land Rover LR2, the Lexus RX, the Lincoln MKX, and the Volvo XC90. It was thought that this vehicle was going to be immensely popular, but sales have been quite slow. Because of slow sales during the first year of manufacturing, consumers may benefit from incentives that are offered to boost sales. The Acura RDX features a 2.3 liter turbo charged gasoline engine, which is a first for Acura. Fitted with a five speed automatic, the RDX is fitted with Acura's SportShift manual shift capability and is easy to handle as it boasts Acura's Super Handling All Wheel Drive, which is also featured on the RL sedan. The Acura RDX is comfortable, featuring leather seats, a moon roof, automatic climate control, and a nice audio system. Upgrades are available for those that are looking for more powerful audio and navigation systems.
