Cadillac XLRV Information
The public previewed the Cadillac XLR-V during a Super Bowl commercial in February of 2005. The XLR-V was formally introduced in 2005 at the New York International Show before being available on the market in 2006. It is equipped with a supercharged 443 horsepower 4.4L Northstar V8 engine - the same used in the STS-V - mated with Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission on 19-inch aluminum alloy 10-spoke silver finish wheels. The two-door, two-passenger sports convertible contains a recalibrated Magnetic Ride Control complemented with four stability mode choices for the driver on the StabiliTrak chassis control system; a front stabilizer bar that is larger; extra rear stabilizer bar, and stiffer rear lower control arm bushings. The XLR-V also possesses the characteristic V-series upper and lower polished wire mesh front grilles. Classy touches on the Cadillac XLR-V include a retractable hardtop; dash and door panels as well as console and protective roll hoops finished in top-grade leather; aluminum accents, and Zingana wood fixtures.
