Cadillac XLR Information
The Cadillac XLR originated as the custom-designed Cadillac Evoq concept vehicle at the 1999 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The XLR would be produced in 2004 by General Motors Corporation, after it was unveiled at the 2003 NAIAS. The 2007 XLR model delivers a powerful drive with a 320 horsepower 4.6L Northstar V8 engine. It is also fitted with six-speed automatic transmission, the Y-body platform and 10-inch alloy wheels. The two-door, two-passenger luxury convertible can turn in to a coupe in 30 seconds with its power-retractable aluminum hardtop. Other fittings that add to the luxury factor of the car include heated and cooled leather seats; side airbags; a seven-inch dashboard screen with navigation display, and wood interior trim. At the 2004 NAIAS, the Cadillac XLR was recommended for the North American Car of the Year award. The XLR has also appeared on 'Shark' television show, Xbox game 'Project Gotham Racing 2', and Playstation 2 game 'Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix'.
