The Chevrolet Corvette has been a favorite among sports car enthusiasts since it was first introduced in 1953. The manufacturer offers three models to choose from: coupe, convertible, and the Z06. All are available with optional suspension, transmission, and interior/exterior features. The coupe and the convertible have a standard 6.0 liter LS2, 8-cylinder engine which is capable of 400 hp @ 6000 rpm's. The Z06 has a 7.0 Liter LS7, V8 producing 505 hp. This remarkable engine is hand built in Wixom, MI with an 8-quart dry sump lubrication system, titanium valves and rods, a high profile cam, and Computer Numerical Controlled heads for better air/fuel flow. Even with the high-speed performance of these engines, they are surprisingly very fuel efficient. The vehicles are available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed paddle shift automatic.
