The Jeep Compass is the crossover SUV offered by Jeep. It combines the look and function of an SUV with the comfort of a lighter frame. The Compass has a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that creates 170 hp. The engine is a dual variable valve timing engine that helps the vehicle tow easier. The transmission is a 5-speed manual that can be converted into a CVT automatic. All Compasses come standard with a stability system, antilock brakes with traction control, and a fully independent suspension. Inside the Compass, the seats are treated with a stain-and-odor resistant product. The SUV holds 5 people, and the rear bench seat folds 40/60 for added cargo capacity.
