Lotus Exige Information
The Lotus Exige is a sports vehicle that was preceded by the Lotus Elise: both vehicles are a production of Lotus Cars. The Exige was introduced to the North American market in 2006 and is a vehicle that has been manufactured for high performance. One year later, the Exige S variant was also made available. The Exige has an amazingly lightweight body, allowing for the vehicle to operate on a four-cylinder motor without compromising speed ability. The Exige is manufactured much like Lotus's earlier roadster, has a hardtop, and it offers rear wheel drive and the car is constructed for high speed driving. The body of the Exige is actually aluminum, making the car extraordinarily lightweight. Space has been minimized to ensure that the vehicle remains as light as possible. Within the Exige is a Toyota motor, a 1.8 Liter engine capable of generating 190 horsepower. While not necessarily a practical car to serve as a family vehicle, the Exige and the Exige S are certainly suitable for the sports car enthusiast.
