The Mitsubishi Lancer is a popular compact car that has been in production all over the world since 1973. This lovely compact was originally designed with three body styles, allowing you to choose from 2-door coupes, 4-door sedans, and a 5-door station wagon. It has been popular in rallies and remains so to this day. The second generation model was launched in 1978 with a boxier look, and was renewed again in 1982 for their third and then fourth generation models. The fifth generation of Mitsubishi Lancer was born in 1988, and featured a much more aerodynamic design. The sixth generation was born in 1991, when the Lancer truly began to differentiate itself from the Mirage. The car was renewed again for the seventh generation in 1995 and the eighth in 2000. The ninth and most recent generation of Lancer was released in 2007 at the Detroit Auto show.
