The Pontiac G5 sports coupe offers speed, fuel efficiency and style with a reasonable price tag. Based on the Chevrolet Cobalt, the Pontiac features a distinctive front grille. Available in two models, the base and the G5 GT, both have adequate power for acceleration and a number of nice standard features. The GT features a number of upgrades, including a more powerful 173hp four cylinder engine as opposed to the standard 148hp four cylinders in the base model. Antilock disc brakes are standard on the GT and available on the base model. Folding rear seats expand the small, but well designed trunk to allow for additional cargo space. Driver and passenger seats are both supportive and comfortable; however, the rear seats are quite small. Metallic accents and attractive gauges make for a well designed and appealing interior.
