The Pontiac Vibe is a small vehicle that has been produced since 2003 by General Motors in conjunction with Toyota. Closely resembling a sporty four-door hatchback, the Vibe is powered by a 126 horsepower 1.8L VVT-i four-cylinder engine that gives a spectacular performance from its increased output. Smooth handling in the Vibe is provided by power rack-and-pinion steering as well as a front independent and rear torsion beam suspension. The Vibe comes standard with front-wheel drive, 16-inch steel wheels and five-speed manual transmission with optional four-speed, electronically controlled automatic overdrive transmission. There is much cabin space in the Vibe for seating five passengers comfortably or fitting child car seats snugly. The rear seats fold forward for additional cargo space of maximum 54 cubic feet, easily holding more luggage or equipment.
