Traditionally, true sports cars are rear-wheel drive, have two doors, two seats, and a sleek, aggressive design. Superior handling, braking, and maneuverability are also signs of a sports car. In recent years other car classes have added performance modifications and are classified under the more generic term of “sports” or “GT” cars.
