Leaked! 2015 BMW M3/M4 Images, Details

By Matthew Askari | December 11, 2013
Images and details of the 2015 BMW M3, and its identical coupe-twin, the new 2015 BMW M4 have leaked. Few cars can rally the performance enthusiast base like the M3 has, and now we know what to expect at the official unveiling at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month. The 2015 BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe have the aggressive styling we saw a few weeks ago, with dramatically styled fender vents, a four-tailpipe exhaust in rear, and an assertive rear bumper. The M4 looks identical to the Aurum Dust metallic-painted "concept" that BMW showed off in Pebble Beach earlier this year. Both cars employ large, split five-spoke wheels, and dramatic air curtains on the front end. The air cooling will be necessary as we now know what will be powering the 2015 M3 and 2015 M4 coupe. According to the UK's Autocar, the enthusiast's delights will receive a new, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, capable of 425 hp—the most powerful production engine in an M3 yet—and much more low-end power over the current 4.0-liter V-8 engine. Power will be distributed via a new, lighter six-speed manual transmission, or a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. We expect to receive more details on the 2015 BMW M3 and 2015 BMW M4 closer to the official debut in Detroit. Source: Autocar
