2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Recalled

By | December 19, 2013
More news on the recall front. Mercedes-Benz has announced a recall on select 2012 E350 and E550 Coupe models that were manufactured between April 2, 2012 and June 29, 2012. The stitching on the right side window curtain airbag may be done incorrectly, causing it not to deploy properly in the event of an accident. If an accident occurs, thanks to the improper stitching on the side curtain airbag, the airbag may not deploy or will deflate more quickly than normal, mitigating the protection it can provide in an accident. Passengers on the right side of the vehicle will be more at risk of injury. To fix the issue, Mercedes-Benz will contact the owners of the affected vehicles and dealers will replace the right side window curtain airbag. As always, all repairs will be conducted free of charge to Mercedes-Benz vehicle owners. The recall is expected to begin on December 21, 2013. Owners can contact the automaker directly at (800) 367-6372.
