Uniquely German Video: 2015 Porsche Macan on a Track with Electronica Music

By Matthew Askari | December 13, 2013
The Porsche Macan will hit dealer showrooms in a few months, and we think the Macan has the potential to become Porsche's top-selling vehicle. While the Porsche 911 and Cayman and Boxster coupes are iconic and for many purists, true Porsche models, sales numbers tell a different tale. The Cayenne SUV and Panamera five-door wagon are the luxe German automaker's top two sellers, and by a wide margin. In crossover-crazed America, the smaller—and more accessibly priced—2015 Macan could quickly ascend to take the crossover crown. The Macan is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 rated at 340 hp, while the Macan S ups power to 400 horses, also using a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6. Both engines are mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission with paddle shifters. In a new video that feels uniquely German to us, the 2015 Porsche Macan takes center stage as Porsche gives us a sense of the craft, precision, and pride that have gone into its newest model. We also get to see the Macan take to the track, all set to electronic music. Source: Porsche
