Supercar Sunday: 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo Squares off Against 2014 Audi RS 7

By Jacob Brown | January 12, 2014
There are some cars that just seem to defy all logic and reason for being. And yet, we consider them nearly perfect machines. Two such vehicles are the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo and Audi RS 7. Both cars come with more than 500 horsepower and performance that could shame many a supercar. Yet, they both have four doors, hatchback utility, and seating for four or five passengers. Head 2 Head host Jonny Lieberman wrangled up the two super sedans to compare them. The slower of the two hits 60 mph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds. Both can comfortably cruise at triple-digit speeds all day long. And both two-ton sedans can easily shame a Ferrari 458 Italia--considered the best sports car made today--in many aspects. And yet, they're as luxurious as you'd expect from six-figure sedans. So which is better? The Audi is quicker in a straight line, but it plows more in corners. The Porsche is larger and heavier, but its performance when the road gets twisty is staggering. Between the road and the racetrack, Lieberman and guest host/racing driver Randy Pobst take the cars to see just what they can do. The results? Watch for yourself in the video below.
