Volvo Prices 2015 V60 Wagon as Configurator Goes Live
The Volvo station wagon is about as synonymous with the automaker as trucks are to GMC. Yet, its existence in the U.S. has been waning at best. And as of a few years ago, the only way to get into a Volvo station wagon was to buy a beefed-up XC70 pseudo-crossover. Finally, though, Volvo is reintroducing its station wagon to the States, and the company has now attached a price tag to it, so you know it's serious. Starting at $36,225, including $925 for destination and handling, the 2015 Volvo V60 represents a $2,900 premium over its sedan counterpart. 2013 Volvo S60 T5 sedan, complete with 250 horsepower and a starting price of $1,500 more.Opting up to the top-spec 325-horsepower Volvo V60 R-Design will yield a sportier suspension tuning, paddle shifters, and standard all-wheel drive, starting at $45,215. Of course, there are a myriad of interior and safety options available that can quickly thrust the 2015 Volvo V60 into the $50,000 range, and that doesn't even account for the hotter 350-horsepower Volvo V60 Polestar that will be making its way into showrooms by summer. The 2015 Volvo V60 goes on sale this month, competing against the BMW 328i wagon and Cadillac CTS wagon. We hope, however, that the Volvo V60 spurs a wagon revolution, as we truly miss these long-roof luxury haulers on our shores. To configure the 2015 Volvo V60 for yourself, check out Volvo's website.
