By | February 14, 2014
With the recent launch of the all-new 2 Series, it was only a matter of time before BMW debuted the Active Tourer. At this year's Geneva International Motor Show, BMW will roll out the latest model to join the 2 Series lineup. The new 2 Series Active Tourer will hit U.S. shores in 2015. BMW has decided to enter the premium compact segment with the 2 Series Active Tourer, which boasts impressive fuel economy, comfort, and functionality. The new model will be powered by turbocharged three- and four-cylinder engines that have been installed transversely and comply with emission standards. For those looking for more versatility from their compact cars, BMW has designed the second row seats to offer a 40:20:40 split that increases cargo space from 16.5 cubic feet when upright to 53 cubic feet when folded. The rear seat also slides forward and back to allow extra room for luggage behind the seat or more legroom for back row passengers. Available on the new 2 Series Active Tourer are the Sport Line, Luxury Line, and M Sport packages to further customize the vehicle for each customer. Each package offers exclusive interior and exterior features, ranging from luxurious touches to performance enhancements. Also available is BMW ConnectedDrive that adds driver assist features for added safety. Source: BMW
