BMW X5 Now Available with M Performance Parts
BMW will offer a full array of M Performance Parts on its redesigned X5 that recently arrived in the U.S. Buyers can opt for a number of performance-oriented add-ons as well as carbon fiber cosmetic enhancements. The automaker is offering an M Performance Power Kit that adds 20 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque for all-wheel drive X5 models equipped with the 300-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo inline-six. The kit also includes sharper throttle calibration and more responsive acceleration. The Performance Brake Kit provides increased stopping performance and adds six-piston calipers with 19-inch steel rotors. Also available on the X5 is a performance exhaust with chrome tips. Buyers can also enhance their X5 with a carbon fiber rear spoiler, high-gloss kidney grilles, and M Performance rocker panel decals. Mirror caps, front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear aero flaps also receive the carbon fiber treatment. Finishing up the exterior look are double-spoke 21-inch wheels with performance tires. On the inside, buyers can select a carbon fiber accented Alcantara steering wheel and a carbon fiber covering for the gear selector. These enhancements can be installed at a BMW Vehicle Distribution Center. When installed before the time of delivery, BMW M Performance Parts offers a full four-year/50,000 mile factory warranty.
