Roadkill Pits Nine Project Cars Against One Another...and a Kia Rio
It's that time again. After months and months of "Roadkill" projects whereby hosts Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger from Hot Rod dig up old cars and bring them back to life, there's now a consortium of cars. After the mayhem, hijinx, and hilarity we've witnessed from those cars' dedicated YouTube episodes, there's plenty more with Motor Trend hosts Jonny Lieberman and Carlos Lago joining the fray. Nine project cars have been pitted against one another in an autocross and drag race to see which one is the best. But there's a 10th as well--a 2013 Kia Rio 5-door--which is used as a benchmark against behemoths from the 1960s and '70s. Put through their paces, the cars show just how far technology has come in the last 40 years. The video also shows just how to make a properly balanced sports car versus a muscle car that's just fast in a straight line. And, of course, through 44 minutes of footage, there are plenty of laughs to be had as well. Whether a 700-horsepower "Crusher" Chevrolet Camaro or the most slapped-together Dodge Charger you've ever seen, "Roadkill" brings the best it has to the track. But which is the best? You'll just have to watch the video to find out. Source: Roadkilll via YouTube
