Nissan Increases NV Full-Size Van Base Price by $250
The Nissan NV has been a surprise hit for the automaker. As it expands its commercial enterprises, Nissan introduced and will continue to introduce more workhorse vehicles to make itself competitive against the American automakers that have traditionally enjoyed an oligopoly of the segment. While it's not a top-seller, Nissan has picked up plenty of ground and is currently outselling the Ram ProMaster through the first two months of the year. Chances are that Nissan will gain even more ground when the Ford E-Series is phased out in favor of the new Ford Transit towards the middle of this year. For 2014, the Nissan NV will jump up $250 to start at $26,665, including $995 for destination and handling. For that money, buyers can expect a short-wheelbase, low-roof Nissan NV 1500 with a 261-horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6. From there, all kinds of options, roof heights, and wheelbase lengths can be selected. The top engine option is a 5.6-liter V-8 with 317 horsepower. Both engines come paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. And, of course, 12-passenger versions are also available, denoted by NVP. Below are prices for all 2014 Nissan NV vans, from 1500 to 3500. Prices do not include the obligatory $995 for destination and handling. The 2014 Nissan NV is on sale now.
