2014 Buick LaCrosse Is Pretty in Purple With Ultra Luxury Interior Package
Buick is offering an Ultra Luxury Interior package that brings purple leather, wood trim, and other unique accents to the LaCrosse sedan. Front and rear seats receive semi-aniline leather dyed in a deep "sangria" color. This leather also extends to the console and door armrests. Contrasting with the deep purple are ebony-colored accents that run along the headliner and door pillars. Finishing off the look is a shiny wood trim on the dash and center console. Why make a purple interior? Apparently, Buick is catching on to a recent trend. Radiant Orchid was recently named the Color of the Year by Pantone, and Buick isn't the first one to use this type of purple-red color on vehicles. We've seen a similar color on the exteriors of Fords and recent Infiniti models. "The Ultra Luxury Interior builds on the success and increasing demand for environments that evoke luxury and personal expression," said Ven Lai, Buick lead creative designer for color and trim. “This application is tailored specifically to the LaCrosse and its customers, but we’re exploring all avenues for where it could take Buick.” The package is available as a $2,495 option on three trim levels, including Leather, Premium, and Premium II. The 2014 Buick LaCrosse is now available at dealerships nationwide. To learn more, read our recent review of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse. Source: General Motors
