2015 BMW X3 Receives Style Updates, New Diesel Model

As part of a slew of new BMW products debuting this year, the X3 crossover is set to undergo a significant makeover. The 2015 BMW X3 will receive design upgrades as well as new engine and drivetrain options for the U.S. On the exterior, the BMW X3 will sport new twin circular headlights, with LEDs as an option. The vehicle will also feature a more prominent double-kidney grille, restyled front and rear bumpers, and new exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals. A glance at the new interior reveals more chrome accents and new cupholders with a sliding cover in the center console. More significantly, the new 2015 BMW X3 will be available with a new diesel option. The xDrive28d features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, making it capable of accelerating to 60 mph in under 8 seconds. Also debuting for 2015 is a new rear-wheel drive option, the sDrive28i. This model produces 240 horsepower from a 2.0-liter gas engine. Of course, buyers can still get the X3 in all-wheel drive or with a more powerful six-cylinder.
The 2015 BMW X3 goes on sale this spring, starting at $39,325 for the base rear-wheel drive model. All-wheel drive models start at $40,725. The new diesel model goes for $42,825. The X3 is one of many new BMW products set to debut at the New York Auto Show this month. Also look for the new BMW X4, Concept X5 eDrive, M4 Convertible, and 4 Series Gran Coupe. Source: BMW
