Chevrolet Offers New Design Packages for 2015 Stingray

As if the new Corvette Stingray wasn't selling well enough, Chevrolet has announced that it will offer two new design packages on the 2015 model: the Atlantic luxury convertible and the Pacific performance coupe. These design packages were introduced last year at the SEMA show as concepts, and thanks to a strong response from consumers and enthusiast alike, Chevy decided to bring them to production. "One of the design goals for the Corvette Stingray was to provide customers with the flexibility to tailor the car to their personality. The Atlantic and Pacific Design Packages were originally designed to showcase how the Stingray could be configured as a luxury sport GT car or as a high-performance motorsport car," said Kirk Bennion, Corvette exterior design manager. The Atlantic Design Package will be offered exclusively on the Z51-equipped convertible models in a 2LT or 3LT trim. Customers can expect to find a front Z06-style splitter, Shark Gray exterior vents and hood "stinger" graphic and tonneau inserts, Chrome Torque wheels with Stingray center caps, Stingray underhood liner and floor mats, custom splash guards, rear license plate frame and logo valve stem caps, and custom luggage. Customers opting for the Pacific Design Package will get a Z51-equipped coupe in either the 2LT or 3LT trim, with unique features including five exterior paint options. The package also includes satin black full-length racing stripes, satin black Z51 wheels with red stripe and Stingray center caps, "CFZ" carbon fiber ground effects package and visible carbon fiber roof panel, Carbon Flash rear spoiler, outside mirrors and exterior badges, along with red brake calipers, Competition Sport Seats in red or black, carbon fiber interior trim, Stingray sill plates and floor mats, custom splash guards and rear license plate frame, and a gray indoor car cover. Chevrolet has also added the Performance Data Recorder for the new 2015 models and special packages, along with an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. The seven-speed auto is still standard. Source: General Motors
