Fisker Karma May Return in 2015
We may be seeing Fisker Karmas on the road again soon, according to a new report. Fisker's new interim president Roger Brown told the Orange County Register that the company plans to bring the car back in mid-2015. But this depends on a variety of factors, such as establishing a new headquarters, deciding where to produce the cars, and recruiting new employees. On top of this, Fisker is also considering introducing the Surf wagon in 2016. This model would be a new version of the $100,000 Fisker Karma sedan. A low-cost, small Atlantic sedan may make its way to market by 2017. And the new cars may not even bear the Fisker brand name when they arrive, Brown also said. Fisker was in a dark place earlier this year, suffering from $529 million in government debut and massive layoffs. After falling on hard times, Fisker has managed to slowly crawl back up thanks to new ownership. The company is now held by Chinese auto parts company Wanxiang. Although it only has a small group of 25 employees, Fisker is starting to make some solid plans for the future. We wish Fisker the best of luck over the next few critical years.
