Ford 50th Anniversary Mustang Debuts in New York
It's the Mustang's 50th birthday, and Ford is introducing a limited edition model to celebrate. The 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition features an upgraded 5.0-liter V-8 engine that is estimated to produce 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine is mated to either a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Regardless of the transmission choice, the special Mustang comes with a GT performance pack, which adds Brembo brakes and 19-inch alloy wheels with performance tires. Exterior paint colors include Wimbledon White or Kona Blue. The new model also gets a number of unique interior touches. Inside, you will find more cashmere than a stack of sweaters at Nordstrom. Cashmere stitching runs along the leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as the instrument panel, center armrest, door inserts, and shifter boot. The seats also feature two-tone cashmere and black leather upholstery. Production on the Mustang begins later this year, and the special 50th anniversary edition will be among the first to be made. But only 1,964 of them will be available this fall, so buyers interested in this model better not wait too long. The special edition model is currently being shown at the 2014 New York Auto Show, which runs April 18-27. Source: Ford
