Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Running Prototype Revealed

By | April 04, 2014
We first saw the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge at this year's Detroit auto show. While we glimpsed at its beautiful blood red exterior and carbon fiber roof, that is about all we could get. Now Infiniti is bringing this concept car to life by sending it on the track with Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel. The new Q50 Eau Rouge running prototype was able to show off its skills on the Millbrook Proving Ground automotive facility in the U.K. Vettel put the Eau Rouge through a series of challenges and will give the Infiniti team feedback on the car's performance to prepare it for the next stage of development. You can hear the distinct growl of the Q50's engine in the video below. We expect this car to have incredible performance, thanks to its 560 horsepower under the hood. And also because it is named after a famous set of turns at the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit in Belgium. With this new car, perhaps Infiniti can finally compete with top-performers from BMW M and Mercedes-Benz AMG.
